DIABETIC RETINOPATHY

It is produced by damage to the blood vessels of the tissue located at retina, due to an uncontrolled increase in blood glucose. Early symptoms include myodesopsia, blurred vision, dark areas of vision, and difficulty perceiving colors. It can also cause blindness if it is not treated in time.

Treatment: Mild cases can be treated with careful diabetes management and advanced cases may need laser treatment or surgery.
