Purulent inflammation of the orbital fat, characterized by severe headache, nausea, temperature, pulsatile in orbit, exophthalmos, diplopia, edema, and hyperemia of the eyelids, chemosis of the conjunctiva, decreased visual acuity and produces a restriction of the mobility of the eyeball.
Treatment: requires antibiotics, incision, and drainage of the systemic and topical phlegmon from the orbit.
