PSEUDO ORBITAL TUMOR

When an inflammation of the tissue that is inside the orbit occurs, it does not spread to other tissues or places in the body, its cause is unknown and it affects mainly young women, although it can occur at any age.

Treatment: Mild cases may go away without treatment, but more severe cases mostly respond well to corticosteroid treatment. If the condition is very serious, the swelling can press on the eyeball and damage it, and surgery may be necessary to remove part of the bones from the orbit to relieve the pressure.
