POSTERIOR DETACHMENT OF VITREOUS

Detachment occurs when the vitreous humor becomes more liquid and becomes mobile and thus causes the hyaloid to spontaneously separate from the retina, more frequent in people over 65 years of age, but it can appear earlier. Appear when a white surface is visible or in sunlight.

Treatment: there are no therapeutic measures to avoid this process, which does not usually require any treatment, although an initial ophthalmological evaluation does.
