FOREIGN BODY IN CORNEA

 

It is known as a foreign body in the cornea, when an object sticks to your cornea and can hurt it and cause symptoms: pain, discomfort, photophobia, etc.

Treatment: Mechanical extraction with forceps, then with Mini bur to extract the resulting oxide (if it were metallic), then antibiotic and anti-inflammatory ointment and occlusive patch for 24 hours.
